Ms. Barton is admitted to practice in the State of Washington (1986) and the United Stated Federal District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington.  She has represented clients in the U.S. District Court, the Washington Court of Appeals and the Washington Superior Courts, as well as in arbitrations and mediations with Judicial Dispute Resolution and Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services.
Ms. Barton attended Western Washington University for her undergraduate degree in psychology.  She graduated cum laude from the University of Puget Sound (now Seattle University) School of Law in 1986.  Her fields of practice over the years has been many and varied, and include civil rights, products liability litigation, family law and her current practice area, elder law.  She is a member of the Washington State and King County Guardianship and Elder Law Sections, serveing on the King County GELS board of directors as outreach chair.
Ms. Barton recently joined the firm.  Previously, she practiced elder law at Hertog & Coster, PLLC, for eleven years.  Her practice focuses on guardianships, trusts and probates.
Ms. Barton is a Seattle native and appreciates all the seasons, including the rainy one(s).  She enjoys gardening, skiing, bicycling and yoga.
