We are currently looking to add an energetic, like-minded associate attorney to our team. The person will be responsible for guiding individuals, persons with disabilities, trustees (professional and independent), families (traditional and non-traditional), and other professionals through the maze of guardianships, trusts, estate planning, benefit advocacy, probate, and related issues.

Over two (2) years of practice experience as a licensed attorney is preferred. Must be admitted to practice in Washington State. Relevant areas of practice in estate planning, guardianships, trusts, and probate preferred. Special education, public benefits, and/or litigation experience is a plus.

Executive Assistant

We are currently seeking an energetic Executive Assistant. The role will provide administrative and calendaring support for two partners. We are offering a full-time position with the option to work remotely up to 3 days per week. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Primary responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure, processes, and technology to support busy partners
  • Interact with clients and business professionals with tact and professionalism
  • Manage calendar with attention to timeliness, prioritizing the most sensitive matters, and ensuring the schedule aligns with
  • partner priorities and commitments
  • Provide high-level inbox management
  • Maintain daily/weekly/monthly project lists for partners and self
  • Compose written communications including emails, letters, and legal documents
  • Prepare/organize materials for meetings and court appearances
  • Maintain electronic file/document management
  • Provide support for management team, working closely with Firm Administrator and other staff
  • Able to respond to occasional, critical requests and emails outside of core work hours

  • Minimum of 5 years of administrative experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft productivity software and internal tools
  • Law firm experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of estate planning, probate, guardianships, trusts, and elder law preferred
  • BS/BA degree

Administrative Assistant

Specific Responsibilities

  • Securely maintaining all paper and electronic documents including filing of pleadings, letters, and other correspondence in the appropriate client files
  • Handling print jobs and mailings for paralegals and attorneys working at home
  • Scanning, printing, photocopying documents
  • Saving emails and electronic documents to client files for attorneys and paralegals
  • Opening and closing electronic client files, as directed by the attorneys and firm administrator
  • Retrieving and depositing client files from offsite storage as directed and maintaining electronic storage logs for offsite storage
  • Handling file transfers to/from other firms
  • Ordering & stocking office supplies
  • Cleaning & stocking kitchen
  • Acting as back-up for the receptionist and legal assistant as needed
  • Handling special projects as needed

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Previous administrative experience in an office, law firm or legal department
  • High School education required, BA degree highly desirable

Schedule

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position. The specific hours worked are somewhat flexible, Monday-Friday within the hours of 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Workplace

We are a hybrid workplace and require all employees to work at least 3 days in the office. However, due to the nature of this position we require that this person work in the office full-time. However, we can offer some occasional flexibility to work from home as needed.
